Changes to the university’s mask guidance | Temple Now

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, the city of Philadelphia has raised its COVID-19 response level to “Level 2: Mask Precautions.” This means that beginning Monday, April 18, the university will now require the use of face masks in all indoor spaces on Temple’s campuses and in enclosed spaces.

As a reminder, cloth masks alone are no longer adequate for protecting yourself and others. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that you wear the most protective mask you can that fits well (completely covers your nose and mouth) and that you will wear consistently.

You have three options for how to mask while on campus.

Good: a surgical mask with multiple layers of nonwoven material Better: a surgical mask with a cloth mask over it Best: a KN95 mask

Thank you for being an active part in helping keep our community safe.
